Note: Attempt all the questions. Assume suitable data if necessary.

Attempt any four parts of the following:
  1. Explain Slew rate and its effect on operation of Op-amp.
  2. Draw and explain the circuit to generate triangular wave using op-amp.
  3. Explain source follower circuit. Discuss its input impedance in detail.
  4. Explain the common source amplifier and find the expression for gain.
  5. Explain about the crossover and harmonic distortion.
  6. Draw and explain cascade current mirror circuit.
Attempt any four parts of the following:
  1. Explain the following in reference of op-amp
    (i) Common mode rejection ratio
    (ii) Supply voltage rejection ratio
  2. Describe about Bi-CMOS cascade circuit.
  3. What is the difference between active and passive filters? Discuss Sallen-key unity gain filter.
  4. Find the collector efficiency for class-A power amplifier.
  5. With the help of neat diagrams, explain dc analysis of 741.
  6. Explain about the op-amp based monostable multivibrator.
Attempt any two parts of the following:
  1. Draw and explain the working of BJT based two stage amplifier for audio frequency range.
  2. Draw and explain the class-B push-pull amplifier in detail.
  3. What is class-C tuned amplifier? Explain double-tuned amplifier and also discuss various applications.
Attempt any two parts of the following:
  1. Discuss all the steps to fabricate CMOS.
  2. Draw the block diagram representation of op-amp and explain in brief each stage with diagram.
  3. Design a wideband reject filter using first-order high-pass and first-order low-pass filter having fL= 2 kHz and fH= 400Hz, respectively and the pass-band gain is 2. Also draw its frequency response.
Attempt any 2 parts of the following:
  1. Design a 400Hz active notch filter. Draw the frequency response. Obtain the transfer function for band reject filter.
  2. Why timer IC was given the name IC 555? What are its essential building blocks? Explain them.
  3. Draw the circuit of Schmitt trigger using IC 555 and explain its operation. Design a monostable multivibrator using 555 timer to produce a pulse width 100 ms.
