- Explain DSBSC with its generation.
- What is super heterodyne receiver?
- With the help block diagram explain working of
automatic frequency control unit.

- Derive expression for frequency modulation and
draw its modulated waveform.
- Describe the relationhip between FM and PM.
- What is the basic principle of PM generation?
- Discuss various internal noises present in
communication systems?
- Derive noise for resistors connected in series.
- Derive the expression for noise temperature using Friss
formula.
Attempt any four:
- Differentiate between natural sampling and flat top
sampling technique.
- What is PAM and explain its generation.
- Explain demodulation of PWM with proper block diagram
and waveform.
- What is PSK? Explain with proper waveform.
- What is delta modulation? Write the advantages of
adaptive delta modulation over delta modulation.
- Compare the waveforms of FSK and PSK. Also explain FSK
generation using 2 ASK inputs.
Attempt any two:
- Differentiate between GEO, MEO and LEO systems. Also
write the Kepler's law for planetary motion.
- Briefly explain:
(i) Satellite Transponders
(ii) Skip distance
(iii) Fading
(iv) Critical angle
(v) PCS - Explain sky wave propagation. Also further explain
line of sight (space wave) propagation in detail.
