Attempt any two:
10*2=20
  1. A three equilateral transmission line has a total corona loss of 55 KW at 110 KV and 100 KW at 114 KV. What is the descriptive critical voltage between lines? What is the corona loss at 120 KV.
  2. Discuss the type of insulators and their applications.

Attempt any two:
10*2=20
  1. A transmission line conductor has been suspended freely from two towers and has been taken the form of a category that has c=487.68 m. the span between the two towers is 152 m, and the weight of the conductor is 1160 kg/km. Calculated the following:                                                                                (i) Length of the conductor
    (i) Sag
(ii) Maximum and minimum value of conductor tension using catanory method.
  2. Write short note on sag template and vibration dampers.
  3. Discuss the effects of wind and ice loading on transmission line.
Attempt any two:
10*2=20
  1. Discuss types of cables and their applications.
